By accessing or using AK Comply ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

AK Comply is a compliance management platform that helps Alaska businesses track regulatory deadlines, permits, licenses, and filing requirements. The Service provides deadline tracking, automated email reminders, document storage, and an AI-powered compliance assistant.

Important: AK Comply is an organizational tool. We do not provide legal advice. The compliance information provided is for reference purposes only and may not reflect the most current regulatory changes. Always verify requirements with the relevant Alaska regulatory agencies.

3. Accounts and Subscriptions

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All plans include a 14-day free trial — no charges during the trial period
• Paid subscriptions are billed monthly and may be cancelled at any time
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• Refunds are not provided for partial months

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Upload malicious files or content
• Resell or redistribute access to the Service without written permission

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that deadline reminders will be delivered without failure. You are responsible for maintaining your own compliance records and verifying all regulatory deadlines independently.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AK Comply shall not be liable for any missed regulatory deadlines, penalties, fines, or losses arising from use or non-use of the Service. Our maximum liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 3 months preceding the claim.

7. Your Content

You retain ownership of all data and documents you upload. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store and display it solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may cancel your account at any time through the billing settings or by contacting hello@akcomply.com.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alaska. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Anchorage, Alaska.
